
Mark was appointed Handel House Museum's first composer-in-residence from 2006-2007. During his residency he composed several new works for the museum and delivered a series of composition workshops and projects in secondary schools, throughout the borough of Greenwich, at Morley College and for the Royal National Institute of Blind People.

soundinventors
Mark led a soundinventors project in Shropshire in April 2005 after he taught on the first residential course in North Yorkshire in August 2004 and assisted Errollyn Wallen on a project in Slough in 2003.

Mark worked with students from Lady Margaret's School in Parson's Green to develop a new work for children's choir and orchestra which was premiered at LSO, St Luke's in June 2005.

adopt a composer
Mark has recently completed a new work for choir written as part of the PRS Foundation adopt a composer scheme in collaboration with spnm and Making Music. The new work, far to the northward lying was premiered in November 2004 by Thames Voyces.

education work
Mark is an experienced education practitioner with a wide range of experience. As composer-in-residence at Esher High School in Surrey Mark delivered composition workshops and tuition to GCSE music students, at the Royal College of Music Junior Department Mark worked as a teacher of composition and musicianship, at Royal Holloway, University of London Mark lectures on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. From 2002 to 2006 Mark worked as a fully qualified teacher of music at The Sixth Form College, Farnborough and Leyton Sixth Form College, London. Mark worked as a workshop leader on the Royal College of Music's residential Higher Education Summer School from 2001 to 2004.
